He holds a MBA in finance from the University of Ghana; Advanced Certificate in Finance & Management Accountancy from Pace University New York. He is a Certified Director from the Commonwealth Association of Corporate Governance and is an ISO 9001-2000 certified Lead Assessor.

He has worked extensively in area of private sector development in Africa; he has been involved in shipping, management, advisory services and as a specialist in Management Development and Training:

Now He is Coordinator for the Special Purpose Vehicle for the creation of a Transnational Maritime Company for West and Central Africa. A project designed to facilitate trade among the member states thus achieving regional integration.He Lead the feasibility study of the regional  Sealink project which to the creation of the SPV

Mr Traore has offered consultancy services to major  multilateral and bilateral organizations such as USIA, AfDB, Ecowas, WTO, the World Bank group, the various UN Agencies

o  Manual for Action in the Private Sector (MAPS), Guinea (Conakry);

o  Natural Resource Management Program, Guinea project design and monitoring  

o  West Africa Trade Hub consultant for sanitary & phytosanitary (SPS) policy for West Africa primarily assisting Ministries of Trade.

o  Regional Manager for West Africa Anglophone

o  Coordinator for management and training in West Africa;

o  Head, West Africa: private sector technical assistance for management.

o  Lead Consultant for Sanitary & phytosanitary requirements and policy on selected export commodities in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso worked with all key stakeholders in government, private sector and civil society.
